We are the association of mussel producers San Amaro of Vilanova de Arousa
Located in the center of the estuary of Arousa, established in 1999 carrying on from a previous organization with the objective of gathering the production of our members and commercializing our product.Presently, the association is composed of 23 members which have 12 vessels and 43 mussel farms. A third generation of producers directs the association.We produce 3,500 tons annually of which 500 are BIO certified. San Amaro is almost a family association due to the close family ties that exist between its members and in other cases a continued cooperation throughout the years have forged strong ties.
Dime Salnés
Dime Salnes, S.L. was created in 2009 amidst San Amaro with the aim of diversifying the commercialisation of our mussels in new markets.The main activities consisted of certifying our installations for BIO production. In 2010 we were the first Spanish company to be sell certified BIO mussels in Spain, beginning with a work method which is still being implemented.Our mussels are being sold in Spain, France and Italy. We also collaborate with our clients trading with products which they transform.
